Art is my escape from the redundancy of day to day reality. With tools as simple as a Sharpie and a piece of paper, I have the ability to create something beyond the confines of my own limitations. Add a simple photograph of static image in time; and through this blending of medium one can create hybrid imagery to compel the mind to think outside arbitrary boundaries.

As the realism of photography and the deconstruction of illustrative techniques are blended; as the weight of lines create new depth and dimension art takes life. Art begins to transcend the media as each is repurposed to create something provocatively unique and original. When I indulge in this manner of repurposing the elements surrounding me, it evokes a sense of metamorphosis which allows me to transcend my own artistic limitations and explore within the confines of a new set of boundaries. Once those boundaries are fully explored, I find it evokes a sense of urgency to transform my art, and therefore myself yet again. Art not only inspires my growth as a dynamic individual, it fuels that growth.

With each work I create, I myself am renewed and empowered. I feel that contribution is something beautiful and essential that I have to contribute to the world around me.
