My obsession is pattern. I love the beauty in humble repetition. Drawing and painting with recurrent lines is my mission. As I walk down the street and nature surrounds me, I appreciate patterns people don’t typically see. Whether it be the footprints on the ground or the birds with their sound. All around me there are rhythms, which give me unlimited freedoms. My greatest influence is nature. There are so much protection, yet so much danger. Its immense possibilities keep my mind running free. Natural colors became my cup of tea. The million shades of browns, oranges and greens, it’s like seeing the world through a certain screen. Although my connection to nature isn’t always clearly depicted through my illustrations, the audience’s curiosity is always my greatest anticipation. At times, I seem to be waiting, waiting for it to give me energy to create. Then, all of a sudden I have a beautiful design in my head, ready to generate.

I create art to put people in a state of bliss, art that would rarely be dismissed. I want my pieces to make a house feel like a home. Even if it’s not your taste, your eyes won’t roam. I make art for the greater good. When I am finished I feel less misunderstood. My creative process puts me in a state of peace. Though I have no reliance on silence, amongst the natural chaos I thrive, art is the reason I survive.
