Growing up I lived on my family’s farm so the mentality was much simpler and slower. It allowed me to see the more beautiful things about life without the distraction of technology. I believe the simplest things in life can be the most beautiful and inspiring experiences we have in our lives. It is hard to not see the beauty in something as simple as a sunset, a rainbow, or even a calm stream. All of these items please us aesthetically through clean elements of color and line making up our vision. Our eye does not always process the simple parts of images we see every day. The perfection in these elements and the harmony they create go unnoticed most of the time. A line given certain weight and thickness can give more information on the depicted subject than value and shading can, thus changing how we look at the subject matter. Certain colors mixed or placed together change our vision, and influence our feelings toward an image. If the colors are not aesthetically pleasing the viewer can develop a negative view of an object. My passion in art is to create pieces that show how the definition of line affects the image and to give satisfying colors to any image.
