B.F.A. Graphic Design

When designing, I am highly influenced by the world around me, how it has changed and progressed. It is the driving force behind the work that I produce.

I start my creative process by first gaining a full understanding of the project and the desired outcome, which involves extensive research and communication between the client and myself. I then seek inspiration from things happening around me. These inspirations may come from conversations with my peers, a TV commercial, a Facebook post, or someone I encounter in line at a store. Once the inspiration kicks in, the sketching process begins. The combination of research and inspiration allows me to produce compelling finished products. I am constantly brainstorming ideas in my head like the motion of a pendulum, and even when I begin my sketching process, research and inspiration never stop.

The biggest influence on my work is the relationships I develop with my clients. I desire to make a positive impact on their lives and do so through building a relationship by getting to know my clients on a more personal level, I gain a better understanding of who they are, make them more comfortable with who I am, and understand what they are seeking from me as a designer. I can then transcend and evolve ideas they initially thought were too challenging or impossible. My determination, attention to detail, diverse background in graphic design and marketing allow me to create captivating design solutions. I believe that my purpose in this world is to serve and I am able to do so through graphic design.
