B.F.A. Graphic Design

Having the ability to utilize my hands to create pieces or products that look visually interesting or appealing to the eyes is all I could ever ask for as an artist. With everything I create, I tend to methodically approach every piece the same way. Before ever even beginning to work, I feel that my most important step is envisioning a spectacular result; an awesome, one of a kind, finished product. By taking my time and paying attention to every slight and miniscule detail along the way, I’m able to slowly see my work come to light, and my vision that was once a thought is able to be brought to life. I wouldn’t claim this to be my philosophy, and I’m not the type of guy to put a label on the type of work that I do. I simply enjoy this freedom of visual creativity and the ability to apply a magnitude of detail in order to produce drawings, posters, or illustrations that can be intriguingly viewed and engaged by anyone. Whether it is one of my friends or peers, a client, teacher, or merely someone who happens to be passing by, I seek to create art that is engaging and visually appealing to anyone. If one is taking that instant of their time to stop, and for a moment, be entranced with the work that I created, then I couldn’t be happier with my result. I do believe that art is purely a means of expression. Art can tell a story, engage memories, convey emotion, and evoke critical thinking. It is truly one of few means in this world that can be enjoyed without any explanation, which is why I aim to create with the intent to have my work speak for itself… And if the audience is to speak back, what more is there to ask for?
