I design to express my personality and to express my individuality. I love to be creative and to use graphic design to create my artwork whether my projects are business cards, posters, packages, logos, and many more things. Graphic design allows me to escape the world for a while. When I start to get into the zone of creating artwork I can spend hours doing certain designs and I love every minute of it. Time can fly by and it doesn’t faze me. I like to think of myself as the tool and connection that individuals and clients can use to help create and express their own personality. When I think of graphic design I think of how often I see it everywhere I go. It amazes me on how much I notice it now that I am more focused on it than before. Graphic design is everywhere and is a major way we as people communicate to the world.

My creative process starts with research. I want to know as much about the project I face before I can begin my work. I also ask many questions to the clients to make sure I understand everything that is involved in the development of a prefect design. I would ask questions such as what they want the design to look in the end, if there are any certain colors they had in mind for the project, and when do they need the project done by as well as many more questions. Depending on the job and client determines the style of the path I take in creating the design. Making sure all the key points are included in the product is essential during the creation of the project. Putting all the puzzle pieces together on paper is where I combined my creativity but also fulfill my clients’ needs. When I am finished with my designs it is important to have the viewers understand the message I are trying to send them as well as have them love the design they see. In the graphic world you have to grab the attention of the viewer within seconds of them seeing the design. I aim to make my designs sophisticated for the job yet appealing to the audience. Throughout my graphic design career I want the audience to see my progress; this is important to me because it shows where I started and how I learned, gaining the knowledge, skill, and talent to become the Designer I am today.
